The JtR team have been busy despite the year end season and general slackening of intensity. Key visual design questions have been answered along with game design/documentary treatment merging strategies. 

The look and experience of the game/doco world was always going to be central to the success of the project both commercially and as an experiment in how to make a 'playable documentary'. Auroch Digital, the creative partner have developed a 2D/3D hybrid space that is graphics-based in style:

This look evokes the kind of illustrated graphics prevalent in the news press coverage of the day. The black and white also touches base with doco traditions of representation and illustration. The player-user will move in a JtR world meant to be a kind of representation of historical reality (and not simply a 'hyperreal' backdrop for play).
