Inspire: Books & Print - postponed until further notice

Unfortunately REACT has made the decision to postpone this event until later in the Books & Print Sandbox programme.

Unfortunately REACT has made the decision to postpone this event until later in the Books & Print Sandbox programme. To ensure that we are able to produce the best event possible we have decided to run an Inspire session next Spring when everyone will have the opportunity to attend to hear from our brilliant speakers and the successful Books & Print projects. We are sorry for any inconvenience.

Monday 10th September, 2.30 – 6pm Watershed, Bristol

REACT are producing an afternoon of inspiration and discussion for potential Sandbox applicants. Meet three of the most exciting thinkers and doers in the field (to be confirmed), interrogate your ideas and spend time with people who share your passion for the future of books and print. Our aim is to help you to make your proposals as ambitious, as dynamic and as attainable as they can be.

How to book: This event is aimed at those intending to apply for Books & Print Sandbox. Tickets are free and are available from the Watershed Box Office on 0117 927 5100. If you attended an Ideas Lab you may book one ticket for yourself and one for a partner who did not. If this does not apply to you, please contact Jo (joanna.lansdowne@watershed.co.uk) to explain why you would like to come along.

When visiting Watershed you will have the chance to play with the work of some former Pervasive Media Studio Residents: Duncan Speakman’s Short Films For You and Theatre Jukebox by Stand + Stare are both examples of new ways to engage with print. In the meantime we’d recommend the Future Book and Craig Mod blogs, The Literary Platform and the the Future of Books and Publishing readlist for your bedtime reading. Oh and have a listen to James Bridle talking about books, cultural memory and the network on Radio 4's Four Thought.
