Talented, adventurous collaborators wanted for 10 day lab in India with UnBox, seeking to inspire innovative ideas around 'FUTURE CITIES'.

We are delighted to share UnBox LABS 2014 with you, a unique experience which celebrates the collaborative power of design, research and digital technologies. The lab will bring together inspirational academic and industry researchers from UK and India to explore Future Cities.

The project is a collaboration between UnBox, British Council, the Arts and Humanities Research Council and the Science & Innovation Network, supported by the REACT Creative Economy Hub and the National Institute of Design in Ahmedabad, India.

UnBox are seeking eight creative practitioners and eight academic researchers from the UK to collaborate with 20 creative practitioners and researchers from India.

UnBox is a continuation and adaptation of the fellowship programme associated with UnBox, a multi-disciplinary festival in Delhi, India, which has happened every year since 2011. During the 10-day lab from 24 February - 7 March 2014, successful applicants will work together in small teams, along with local mentors and advisors, on-site in India at the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad.

The LABS will be guided by principles of design led thinking, co-creation and action research exploring ideas and developing responses to the challenges of our city futures.

Participants should be able to travel to India for the duration of the lab (February 24th - March 7th 2014). They should also have the ability to work on project ideas (on site and virtually) after the lab, during the period between March & October 2014.
